Cuff Options - Cuff Pleats

  • Double Pleats - Standard (default) ~ This is the style you’ve historically received.

  • Single Pleat - NEW!

  • No Pleats - NEW!

Shirt Pleat Options & Fit Considerations

As a reminder, the pleat style selected on a shirt directly affects the fit through the forearm:

  • Double pleat (standard) = most room

  • Single pleat = slightly trimmer

  • No pleat = trimmest fit

Removing pleats removes excess fabric, resulting in a closer fit through the forearm—similar to how pleats affect the fit of trousers (e.g., triple pleat = most room, no pleat = trimmest).

Important to keep in mind:

  • Be careful not to double dip by combining no pleats with elbow or sleeve reductions—this can result in a sleeve that’s too tight.

  • Use extra caution when working with the Ganghester model, which already features a significantly trimmer sleeve tube.
