Why Use "Copy Item"
Copying an item from oIf you have not started Garment Preferences and created a personal model for your business or individual client.
Definitions
Source Order - the order you are copying an item from
Duplicate Garment - the garment you copied from the source order into a new order.
IMPORTANT: "Copy Item" copies the measurements that were used in the source garment–it does not pull from the client's profile measurements.
Finding a Past Garment to Copy
Go to "Manage Clients" in the dropdown under "My Account in the main Workflow navigation.
Find the client you want and select their "Order History".
View the details of the source order you want to copy from.
Copy the ID# for the garment (just the numbers) you want to copy into a new order.
(Optional) Print details of the garment. This will help you if there are some options that don't copy over.
Duplicating a Garment in a New Order
Start a new order or open an existing saved/incomplete order.
Click the "Copy Item" button and paste the ID# from the source order and press Enter.
3. The original garment details will appear. Select if the fabric for the duplicate garment is Trinity or CMT.
4. Input the fabric number and additional information (CMT) and click the "Copy Item" button. We used a Trinity fabric in this example.
What is Actually Happening
Most options copy to the duplicate garment but there are a few that require a selection to be made before the order can be placed. Some examples for a coat in a CCVP (3-piece suit):
Lining Fabric
Milanese Buttonhole Thread Color
IMPORTANT!!: Measurements that were in the client's profile when the source order was placed get copied into the duplicate garment.
If you made changes to the client's measurements after the source order was placed then "Copy Item" will not copy the those new measurements.
Revised Options Alert
If Workflow has been updated since the source order was placed then you might see a notification that says:
Attention: garment options have been revised since your previous order.
Please review the options carefully before submitting your order!
Double check that all garment options from the source order copied to the duplicate garment. It makes it much easier if you printed the garment options from the source order.
Make changes as needed.
Restrictions
You can not copy a garment from one client order to an order for a different client at this time. To clarify, you can't copy a 2-piece suit you ordered for Jon B. into an order for Bill J.
